The Gianna Stack

Gianna means "God is Gracious" Grace "Favor or Blessing" After 2 pregnancy losses, Michelle & Frank became pregnant with boy/girl twins and would be adding #4 and #5 to their family of 3 children. After 6 months of advocacy, Gianna was diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation syndrome called MPPH which caused a generalized brain malformation called polymicrogyria.  Not much is known about this syndrome, but one thing Gianna's parents know is that despite all the worrying, fear, anxiety and tears, we trust God's plan & timing.  They've been told that she may never walk, talk or eat by mouth or she could surprise us and do it all! Michelle felt led to the scripture, "Be Still" - Be still and know that I am God. That has been a daily reminder in our lives as we do all of the things to improve Gianna's life such as therapies, umbilical cord stem cell transplants, intensives, etc.  Be Still has put a positive light and a peace around the chaos.  Through our HopeAnchor&Crew collection we hope to raise funds for Gianna's therapies and care but hope to be able to help others at some point in the future and blaze a way and plan of care for other families facing similar challenges. Above all, Gianna is happy, gives the sweetest, brightest smiles and THAT is her family's daily reminder to "Be Still".
